The driver will meet the group at the hotel around 8:00 AM, and you will begin your journey to Halong, which takes approximately 3 and a half hours. As you drive through the picturesque landscape of rice fields in the Red River Delta, you’ll witness the daily life of Vietnamese villagers and encounter water buffaloes along the way. A stopover in Hai Duong will offer a chance to stretch your legs before continuing the journey.
Upon reaching Halong, you’ll board a private ship and set sail on a cruise through the stunning bay, which is renowned for its thousands of limestone islets rising dramatically from the emerald waters.
As you embark on the cruise, the ship passes by a fish farming village where thousands of residents live almost exclusively on the water, even including the children. This unique village offers excellent photo opportunities with its floating farms, houses, and schools.
Next, you’ll have the opportunity to climb up Paradise Cave and explore its interior, marveling at the underground rivers and stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations that have formed over millions of years.
Returning to the boat, you’ll continue the cruise, passing by beautiful islets and rock formations. Lunch will be served on board, featuring a selection of delicious seafood.
The ship will anchor near a beach, providing an opportunity for you to swim in the crystal-clear waters amidst the pristine white sand. For those seeking a challenge, there’s an option to climb 500 steps to a mountain top for a breathtaking view of a corner of the bay.
Alternatively, you can simply relax and enjoy the sunset from the boat.
Dinner will be served on board, and you’ll have the freedom to swim at night or gather on the upper deck for a tranquil experience. Afterward, you can retreat to your personal space in your room for a restful night.
